A Party That’s Gone Mad

To the tune of “Starry, Starry Night.”

A party that’s gone mad,
Mesmerized by climate stats,
Organized like herded cats,
Celebrating breakers of migration laws.

Morally confused,
Promising a Green New Deal,
While infants in the womb don’t feel,
Living only by the mother’s whim.

How can I understand
What’s coming from the DNC
When it smacks of mass insanity
For a land that’s gumption free?

They would not listen;
They did not know how.
I doubt they’ll listen now.

A party that’s gone mad,
Corrupt down to its Clinton core,
Crazier than Albert Gore,
Creepier than Joe Biden at his worst.

How can I understand
What they’re trying to say to me,
When it smacks of mass insanity
For a land that’s gumption free?

I doubt they’ll listen now,
The party of diversity,
Symbolized by AOC.

When no comfort can be had
From a party that’s gone mad,
What hope is left for me?

But just do a little thinking
And read your H.L. Mencken:
It’s just democracy.

A party that’s gone mad,
That once we thought was anti-war,
Is now for fringes, freaks, and more,
Where normal folks feel out of place.

Oh, and let us ever think of race,
That old divisive bugaboo,
A recipe for endless stew
For separating me from you.

Now I think I understand
What they’re trying to do to me,
Though it smacks of mass insanity
For a land that’s gumption free.

But do you really want to know the truth?
I think not, forsooth.
